Details Guidelines about ISRO URSC Robotics Challenges

ISRO Future goal is the exploration of Martian surface, and as a part of Martian Surface Exploration, An autonomous Aerial vehicle will carry out Scientific Activities.

IRoC-U_2025 Challenges to students to develop ” Autonomous navigation for an Aerial vehicle ( ANAV )” without any external navigation system aid like GNSS, pseudo lite, or reflector arrays with a tagline ‘FLY ME ON MARS”

Students community needs to develop and demonstrate, the autonomous capabilities of ANAV.

  1. for, Navigation & guidance without the aid of any external navigation.
  2. to identify safe landing spots, and perform stable take-off and landing.

ANAV has to perform following tasks :

  • Stable vertical take-off, hover & landing.
  • ANAV shall scan the ARENA, to identify the boundary, and the safe spots for landing.
  • ANAV Shall choose the sequence and stable landing, at each safe spot.
  • After safe landing, ANAV shall return to the Home position.
