  • Tier-2, Paper-1 & Paper-2 exam will held on Separate shift/ Day.
  • Paper-1 is Compulsory for All posts.
  • Paper-2 will only for those candidates, who applied for the position of JSO ( Junior Statistical Officer ), in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-2 in the office of the Registrar General of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, and also are shortlisted for TIER-1 for these position.
  • Paper-1 will be conducted in two sessions, on same Day.
  • Session-1 will include Section-1, Section-2, Module-1 of Section-3, Total Duration 2 hours 15 minutes.
  • Section-1 has two Module viz. Module-1 & Module-2, candidates will have 1 hour for complete this section.
  • Immediate after completion of section-1, THE Two Module of Section-2 will start, and time only 1 hour.
  • Section-3 will have 2 Module, and after completion of Section-2 exams, and time for 15 mins. for Exam.
  • AFTER the Completion of SESSION-1 Exam, the candidates will get break for Re-registration for SESSION-2
  • SESSION-2 will include module-2 of section-3, i.e. Data Entry Test for 15 mins.

Indicative Syllabus Tier-1 :

General Intelligence & Reasoning – It would include, both questions Verbal and non-verbal type. This Component may include questions on analogies, similarities, and Differences, Space Visualization, Spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, Discriminations, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.

the topics are semantic analogy, symbolic/ number analogy, Figural Analogy, semantic classification, Symbolic/ number classification, figural classification, semantic series, number series, figural series, problem solving, world building, coding, de-coding, numerical operations, symbolic operations, trends, space orientation, visualization, venn diagrams, drawing inferences, punched hole/ pattern folding & un-folding, figural pattern folding and completion, indexing, address matching, date & city matching. classification of centre code/ roll nos. small and capital letters/ number coding, Decoding and classification, embedded figures, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, Social Intelligence.

General Awareness – Topic are Environment around him and its application to society. Questions designed to test current events and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspect. the questions will also include, Relating to India and Neighboring countries. spatially pertaining history, culture, geography, economic scene, General Policy and scientific research.

Quantitative Aptitude – the questions will be designed to test, the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidates. the scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, proportion, square roots, averages, interest, profit & loss, discount, partnership business, mixture and allegation, time & distance, time & work, basic algebraic identities of school algebra & elementary surds,

graphs of linear equations, triangle and its various types of centres, congruence and similarity of traingles, circle, and its chords of a circle, tangents, angels subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, triangle, quadrilaterals, regular polygons, circle, right prism, right circular cone, right circular cylinder, sphere, hemispheres, rectangular parallelepiped, rectangular right pyramid with triangular or square base, trigonometric ratio, degree and radian measures, standard identities, complementary angles, height and distances, histogram, frequency polygon, bar diagram and pie-chart.

English Comprehension – Candidates has ability to understand correct ENGLISH, his basic comprehension and writing ability etc. would be tested.
