Nationality : A Indian Citizen, A Subject of Nepal / Bhutan & other as per notification list.

Age Limit on 01-01-2024 : 21 years – 32 years;

UPSC Geoscientist 2025 Minimum Qualification Required :

Geologist Group-A : Master’s Degree in Geological Science or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or GEOCHEMISTRY From a Recognised University.

Geophysicist Group-A, Scientist-B Geophysics and Assistant Geophysicist : M.Sc in Physics or Applied Physics or Geology or SUBJECT SPECIALIST;

Chemist Group-A and Scientist- CHEMICAL : M.Sc in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Subject Specialist;

Scientist-B HYDROGEOLOGY and Assistant Hydrogeologist : Masters Degree in Geology or applied geology or Marine Geology or Hydrogeology;
